Putting the T in Biola

I don't want to brag, but I was right all along. Apparently the new Talbot Seminary building at Biola University has been dedicated (despite that fact that I hear it isn't actually finished yet), which because I'm like a moth to a flame, I had to read about on their website. What got my attention wasn't the dedication per se, but how correct I was when I originally wrote about the plans for the new building in 2007. Despite what outgoing Talbot Dean, Dennis Dirks told me, they do think of themselves as the guardians of their university, and in their minds, the correct way to be Christian. At the dedication, one of their esteemed alumni, former mediocre professional baseball pitcher and current Christian talk radio host, Frank Pastore, revealed how he, and the Talbot faculty, view their role in Biola University. Says Frank:
Talbot is the backbone of Biola University in more ways than one. Talbot puts the B in Biola, providing the anchor, which grounds the university in the unchanging word and keeps the university from being blown adrift by social and cultural trends.
Ah yes, if it wasn't for the heroic efforts of Frank and his friends at Talbot, there probably wouldn't even be a Biola University, or Christianity for that matter. Frank and friends are busy putting the T in Biola, and grounding the anchor so it won't be blown adrift by trends foreign and domestic, or metaphors confusing and contradictory, all presumably while talking to themselves on the radio. Absolutely.
